Brigade has teamed up with police officers from the Port Authority Police Department and watch enthusiasts to design this Special Edition Brigade Subcommander, created alongside the New York's Finest Special Edition Subcommander. Like the New York's Finest Subcommander watch, it was created not simply as a watch, but as a lasting tribute to the policemen and policewomen who answered the call, the families forever changed by that day, and those we have continued to lose in the years since due to illnesses and injuries sustained in its aftermath.
The Watch Design
- The Dial: The dial’s gradient is inspired by New York’s dark blue to New Jersey’s buff yellow, honoring the Port Authority Police Department, the bi‑state force that protects the transportation links between NY and NJ (airports, bridges, tunnels, PATH, ports, and the World Trade Center). It pays tribute to the officers’ resilience and sacrifice that emerged from that tragedy.
- The 12 O'Clock Star: The 5 points representing the 5 boroughs of New York City, serving to mirror the stars on the American Flag.
- The Gold 37th Minute Marker: Serves as a quiet but powerful reminder of the 37 members of the PAPD who made the ultimate sacrifice in September 11th.
- The Motto: Beneath the "Subcommander" name appears the department's historic motto: "Pride. Service. Distinction"
- The Caseback "Never Forget" Engraving: Turn the watch over and the story continues. Featuring the Statue of Liberty, the Freedom Tower, and the Tribute in Light beneath the words "Never Forget" dedicated to those lost on September 11th, as well as the countless first responders and survivors who have since succumbed to ilnesses connected to that day.
The Cause
The Special Edition Subcommander is a collaboration timepiece built to serve a vital mission on the front. Proceeds from every watch sold will benefit Law Enforcement Officers Weekend Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the families of law enforcement officers who have been critically injured or killed in the line of duty.
Every watch in this commemorative release is individually serialized, ensuring each piece becomes a unique part of this historic anniversary. More than a timepiece, it is a reminder of sacrifice, service, courage, and the promise that those we lost will never be forgotten.
UPGRADED SWISS MOVEMENT
Introducing the newly released Swiss movement, the Sellita SW200-2 Power Plus (adjusted to 3 positions). The Sellita SW200-2 provides a 65-hour power reserve. Renowned for its ruggedness and dependability, this model is accurate up to +/- 7 seconds per day.
Proven Construction
Brigade's 316L stainless steel case and micro adjustment bracelet are built to withstand the rigors of diving and field work. The uni-directional rotating bezel provides the ability to track elapsed time underwater while equipped with aluminum insert to absorb impacts unlike ceramic inserts. Although not as "bright" as the 904L, 316L stainless steel is a harder alloy ready for any mission.
The Delivery Timeline
Orders will be accepted through August 1, 2026, after which this First Edition Run will be permanently closed. Delivery will begin in December 2026.
