The SW200-2 Power+ is the latest evolution of Sellita’s proven SW200 platform. It builds on the reliability of the SW200-1 while introducing meaningful upgrades to the movement’s power reserve, efficiency, stability, and overall performance.
65-Hour Power Reserve
The biggest improvement is the extended power reserve.
The traditional Sellita SW200-1 provides approximately 41 hours of power reserve, while the new SW200-2 Power+ increases that to 65 hours. That gives you about 24 additional hours of running time, which is nearly a 60% increase.
For everyday use, this means you could take your fully wound watch off on Friday evening and, under normal conditions, still have it running when you pick it back up on Monday morning.
Sellita was also able to achieve this longer power reserve without reducing the movement’s frequency. The SW200-2 Power+ still runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour, or 4 Hz, maintaining the smooth seconds-hand sweep and performance the SW200 platform is known for.
More Than Just a Longer Power Reserve
The Power+ upgrade goes beyond simply increasing the size of the mainspring.
Sellita redesigned the barrel and mainspring to store more energy, improved the gear train for more efficient power transfer, updated the automatic winding system, refined the regulating system, improved the shock protection, and strengthened several internal components.
Even with these internal changes, the SW200-2 Power+ keeps the familiar architecture of the SW200 family. In other words, it takes an already proven Swiss automatic movement and improves it where it matters most.
The Next Generation of the SC74
For customers currently waiting on an SC74 or another Brigade pre-order, your watch will now receive Sellita’s newest generation of the SW200 movement.
The SC74 was designed to be a dependable mechanical watch built for real-world use, and we believe the SW200-2 Power+ is a great fit for that purpose. It offers a longer power reserve, improved efficiency, updated internal engineering, and the same 4 Hz performance that customers have come to expect from the SW200 platform.
